For more than three decades, we have been creating innovative design solutions for clients large and small. Partners David Un and Tree Trapanese, design and develop successful brands that sell. Our dual perspectives coupled with our years of strategic design, create a dynamic approach, driving successful outcomes for our clients.
David Un, Partner and Account Director
David's primary role is in business development, account management, and design strategy. He has excellent communication skills and excels at understanding a client's needs. He is a leader with proven success in new product introduction, strategic thinking and problem solving. He has more than 35 years of experience in advertising, packaging, art direction, production, printing supervision and sales & marketing.
An original founder and President of Designed To Print + Associates in New York City for 17 years, David joined Tree Trapanese in 2008 at DT2 DESIGN. David has also held executive design management positions leading and mentoring creative teams in small and midsize corporations. His degrees in Linguistics and Sociology have provided him with an acute understanding of cultural mores and how they influence the behavior, and purchasing tendencies of consumers and their communities.
Tree Trapanese, Partner and Creative Director
Tree is passionate and experienced in design & brand development and is inspired by film, music, art, fashion, and youth culture. Her degree in advertising and graphic design has enabled her to identify behavioral trends in cultures and markets around the world and she has translated these trends into strategies to help create successful brands.
With more than 35 years of experience in graphic design, package design, logo design, creative direction and art direction, Tree has shaped and articulated the creative tone for our clients. She enjoys helping brands find their voice, and communicate with their valued customers.
As an original founder and Creative Director at Designed To Print + Associates in New York City, she later started Design Trends International and in 2008 partnered with David Un, changing the name to DT2 DESIGN.

HOW WE DO IT.
Every project is different and our job at DT2 DESIGN is to find the essence of your brand and express it in a way that is unique and entertaining.
DISCOVERY— Our process begins with a collaboration between client and our design team to explore, define goals and uncover opportunities.
RESEARCH — We look at your competitors and your audience to learn about the category environment and how your brand's personality is unique. We use this information to develop a design brief which summarizes your company, its values and how to differentiate your brand from its competitors.
CONCEPT — We develop a range of visual directions that provide a clear and engaging positioning of your brand to the targeted audience. Each approach is unique and distinct. We will utilize innovative structure, strong visuals, shapes, color and typographic treatments to express your brand's essence in the most effective manner.
DESIGN — Your selected design will be implemented and additional refinements and variations will be made to show how it supports the positioning and marketing objectives of the brand.
ART DIRECTION — We will direct photography, model selection, illustration, retouching and printing for final production.
PRODUCTION — Final designs are implemented to ensure clarity of your communication touchpoints as well as the technical execution for your printed piece.
BRAND MANAGEMENT — We continue to work with our clients to maintain the integrity of all brand communications and line extensions.
